Soft Strength: Moving Gently Toward Motherhood

Lately, I’ve been craving softness. Not the kind that lacks strength - but the kind that honors it. The kind that listens to the body, trusts its timing, and offers grace in transition.

As I prepare to have my polyp removed and move toward our insemination cycle, I have been embracing routines that feel nurturing rather than demanding. My workouts have shifted with that very intention in mind, and I have found real joy in the gentle consistency of Evlo Fitness. These low-impact strength classes are exactly what my body needs right now - supportive, aligned, and deeply respectful of energy and hormone fluctuations.

It’s daily practice is showing up with presence instead of pressure. My favorite part of every workout is the breathwork in the beginning and the shavasana meditation at the end - the book ends with an intentional workout that prepares me for the day ahead.

And then - there was the butterfly.

After a swim this morning, I lay floating on my back in the pool, soaking in the sun and the quiet. A butterfly drifted above me, and for a moment, time was soft. It felt like a quiet message:

You don’t have to force the transformation. Just allow it. Float through the shifts. Let life move around you as you prepare to bring new life forward.

This polyp, like so many moments I didn’t plan for, is showing me that surrender is part of the process. It’s not about control. It is about patience, trust, and soft resilience.

This season of life is not just about conception. It is about preparing the space - in my body, my mind, my heart - for what’s to come. Some days that looks like protein smoothies and supplements. Other days, it looks like skipping a workout to take a nap. All of it matters. All of it counts.

Here’s to honoring the body’s wisdom, to moving with intention, and to trusting that what you’re cultivating now - quietly, patiently - will one day bloom in full.
